New Monsoon will be hosting a special El Niño celebration at Terrapin Crossroads Grate Room in San Rafael, California on Friday December 4th at 8pm.
New Monsoon was formed and named during the El Niño rains of 1997 when “every day was like a New Monsoon.” To make this event unique, the band will be going back to its musical roots and reuniting with original members Rajiv Parikh (tablas, percussion) and Brian Carey (congas, timbales). The night will be infused with select songs by Santana, one of New Monsoon’s primary early influences, as well as material from their own extensive world catalogue.
This will certainly be a rare and special event not to miss!
