New Monsoon and Achilles Wheel

New Monsoon and Achilles Wheel, both veterans of the California Jam Scene, are teaming up for two nights of blockbuster shows in February.
The bands will each play full sets both nights. Night one is Friday 2/14, Valentine’s Day in Auburn, CA at the “Fillmore of the Foothills” Odd Fellows Hall. Night two is Saturday 2/15 at Phil Lesh’s world famous venue Terrapin Crossroads in San Rafael, CA. These will certainly be two “not to miss” shows as the bands will surely be bringing their top form and co-mingling. Both bands have written and released a large multitude of original time and road-tested material throughout the years.
Achilles Wheel is based in Nevada City, CA, and has performed at many of the premier NorCal music festivals including High Sierra, Kate Wolf, and Hangtown. They’ve also opened for heavyweights such as Michael Franti and Mick Fleetwood. They won a 2019 Sacramento News & Review “Sammie” in the World Music Category.
New Monsoon is based in the SF Bay Area and has played every major venue and festival in the USA including Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits and Red Rocks. They got their first play at the legendary Fillmore West opening for Michael Franti. As part of the Big Summer Classic tour they shared the stage with String Cheese Incident, Umphrey’s McGee, and Yonder Mountain String Band.
